Cut a strip of 10oz PVC 6.5"(125mm ) wide by a length equal to the inside circumference of the coaming + 1" (25mm). The extra inch is the overlap at the rear of the coaming. Apply 2 coats of vinyl cement to the glue areas as shown above and also apply cement to the 1" overlap. After drying, place a section of 1/8" or 3/16" rope as shown in the pic above. Allow the rope to extend 1' (305mm) past each end of the PVC strip. Fold the PVC over the rope and glue as indicated above. Glue the 1" overlap to the end of the strip. Trim the PVC around the end of the ropes to allow free movement in the 1" overlap area.
