The curvature is drawn out using a flexible rod or tube. A nylon R/C pushrod works well, though a thin wood dowel was used above. Small finishing nails are used to secure the dowel. A pencil is used for all marking on the wood and is easily removed with an erasure. To insure accuracy , small sections of the actual stringers that were cut previously, are used to trace out the stringer cross section.
