The Sea Glider has a 3in thick footrest made of closed cell foam. The Sea Rider uses cross section 3 as the footrest by positioning it closer to the paddler. Feet can be positioned inside or outside of the internal brace stringers on either boat. The HDPE cross sections ( 4 and 5) transfer flex loading to the center brace tubes located between cross sections 4 and 5. The center brace doubles as a shoulder support when carrying the boat to and from the water. For rolling support, additional foam or a wood rim can be added to the bottom of the Masik.
