The kayak carrier is attached to the aftermarket Givi trunk rack with two bolt-on clamps fabricated from aluminum plate. In addition, a bolt attaches the kayak carrier to the Givi trunk bag to provide additional stability. The system has been tested in strong crosswind conditions and has proven to be quite stable. The rider makes very little contact with the bag so a normal riding position can be maintained.
